The BRFC youth rugby program is designed to introduce and develop rugby skills for youth players aged 8 to 16 (boys and girls). The program is designed to be fun and easy to participate in for kids and their parents.

Rugby has now become one of the most popular sports for boys and girls in Montreal high schools (GMAA has 1700 high school athletes playing varsity rugby). In fact, in many high schools, varsity rugby it has now become the premier sport of the school. The BRFC youth rugby program complements these high school programs. For the younger players, it prepares them and builds their confidence so that they can enjoy the sport for many years to come.

Details of the BRFC youth rugby program:

• When: Practices start May 13 until July 18
• Where: Beaconsfield High School field
• Days:  Thursday evening 6.00 to 7.15pm, Saturday 11.30am to 1.30pm
• Cost: $100 U10, U12 & U14
• Cost: $150 U16
• Development includes: Ball drills, practice games, strategy & tactics
• U10: Non Contact (Tackling introduced)
• U12, U14 & U16: Contact
• Coaching: certified coaching staff
• Games: Inter squad scrimmages twice per month on Saturdays (BRFC Black vs BRFC Red), exhibition games vs. other junior clubs (including West Island, Mt-Tremblant, Chelsea & Barrhaven)
• Commitment to practices: We are all busy, kids come when they can
